We are a global network of professionals working on issues pertaining to the intersection of agriculture and nutrition. The group is informal, and designed to facilitate information sharing and networking. This Community of Practice arose in June 2010 when many discovered that they were all being asked to write policy briefs for their respective institutions on how to link agriculture and nutrition. The group emerged to help harmonize this guidance. The group continues to grow, and by mid-2011 reached a membership of nearly 150. The main activities are a monthly, thematic conference call with a topic proposed by a group member, and an announcement-only email list. The CoP is managed by the UNSCN and has a facilitator to assist with coordination. The outcomes of the group evolve with the needs of the members. We aim for this to be a useful place for sharing resources to build a common evidence pool We would like this to be a place where we can share thoughts about key messages, so that we are communicating with a common set of responses to the degree possible and appropriate, to the broader development community.
